Autumn at Uni

Roll on Autumn!

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog.  So as you all know, my previous post was not make up related, however this one is!  Suzanne's eye on make up is back :)

I wanted to share with you guys a make up look and also my outfit that I wore today for University.  I am quite a relaxed person and I love dressing comfortably for school.  I'm not one to wear heels or go over the top with my hottest dress just for University.  I still love to look good, but in a simple yet pretty way.  The same goes for my make up.  I'm not one to wear layers of foundation, with a dark smokey eye and red lipstick, just to attend Uni.  I prefer a more natural and simple look.

So, let's start off with the make up!

As you all can notice, my make up is really natural which I feel is perfect for a school day.  In my opinion you do not need to go over the top.  All I did was prime my face, foundation, concealer, powder, my eyebrows, a bit of mascara and lipstick.  The main look I was after was a flawless coverage.  When you wear too much make up during the day, this really shows because of the sunlight.  So it's important not to cake your face.  You might be thinking that I used quite a lot of products for a natural look, but my face was not caked at all.  In the left photo, my lipstick looks lighter than the other because it was super bright, so apologies for that.

I primed my face with the Collistar brightening face primer, which I feel is great.  I love Collistar and I really recommend this brand.  Before I applied my foundation, I applied a bit of tinted sunblock.  I feel it's really important to apply a layer of sunblock even if it isn't that hot.  This prevents pigmentation and red marks, especially for those people who have acne.  I use the SVR 50+ mineral tinted sunblock which is great and it also has a tint which I love.  For my foundation, of course I used my favourite L'Oreal Infaillible 24H-Mat in the shade Sand and I applied my WJCON liquid concealer around my dark circles and my spots.  For those people who wear glasses, it's really important to conceal your under eye area because the glasses leaves a bit of a shadow and so your under eyes look darker.  Of course, I set all my foundation with my Long Lasting Rimmel Pressed Powder.  Then I just applied one coat of my Kiko mascara.  I love lipsticks, so to brighten my look up, I lined my lips with a lip liner and used a burgundy colour long lasting liquid lipstick from WJCON.  I used this burgundy colour because it's a beautiful Autumn colour.  And that's it!  A really simple, yet pretty day look.  Also, it did not take ages to do, it's very fast and easy! For those of you who love your sleep, just like me, you do not want to stay waking up hours before to stay applying never endless amounts of make up.

To complete my look, I curled my hair using my all time favourite Remington Curling Wand.  I absolutely love this wand and it's super easy to use.  A little trick that I do to make my curls bigger is that I curl different strands of my hair in different directions.  So with one strand of hair I'll curl it frontwards then another backwards with the wand.  The result is fantastic!  Then I wore this pretty burgundy head band which my sister bought for me from H&M to really complete the look.

Wear a pair of ripped denim jeans, cute Espadrilles and some jewelry.  I bought my shoes from Bershka which are super comfortable and great for the Autumn season!  For my jewelry, I just like to wear my all time favourite Michael Kors watch and my Chamilia charm bracelet which has a lot of meaning to me.  Then I just wore a super comfortable baggy grey top.  And that's my Uni look!

Really hope that you enjoyed reading this simple, natural, University look!  Of course, this is my own personal opinion, some of you might want to apply more make up and maybe some less.  However, this is a really great natural and pretty look, which is perfect for the Autumn season.  If you have any questions or difficulties, please leave a comment below.

Lots of love - Suzanne P.D
