Melita Health and Beauty Event - Skin Care | Beauty | Make up!

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog!

On Tuesday 8th of March I attended an event which was hosted by the Melita Health and Beauty team. It was such an amazing event and everything was so well organized. There were some nibbles, drinks and the best of all ...we were surrounded by lots of make up! What's more to ask for? There were quite a lot of people and I really enjoyed meeting all the beauty bloggers again. The staff were absolutely amazing also, they were so helpful and they are all so knowledgeable about the products. It's a must to go to Melita everyone!! It's right opposite Champs in Paceville.

Since this was a beauty event, I really wanted to slay my make up! I used my Carli Bybel palette (to see a review about this palette, check out my previous blog post - "My February Favs") on my eyes and I opted for a bold red lip, I used the Sleek "Matte Me" lipstick, which you can also purchase from Melita Pharmacy. I'm absolutely in love with this lipstick, it's such a must have! It dries completely matte and the result is just beautiful. Here are two pictures of my make up look for the event;

So there it is! I loved my make up and I was so happy with how it turned out.

At the event, there was 15% off and so I had to buy something! I was going crazy in there surrounded by all that make up, however I had to resist myself because I knew that I wanted to buy skin care. The past few weeks my skin has been extremely bad. Since I was around 14 years old, I've been suffering from acne. Sometimes my skin is good but then it could be really bad. My skin is definitely at it's worst now and having acne is such a horrible experience. Those people who have acne can definitely relate with me. I've tried several treatments and anti-biotics, but nothing seemed to work for me. So I decided to try out Dermalogica which I've heard is amazing for acne prone skin! I bought the "Clearing Skin Wash", basically this is a wash you use twice a day. This helps clear oils and bacteria on break-out prone skin. The staff at Melita pharmacy really helped me with this and so I am really hoping that this would work. I also started using the Dermalogica "Clear Start Overnight Treatment". It's for breakout clearing and you use this before you go to bed.

I've only been using these for the past 4 days, however I'm already kind of feeling a difference. My skin feels cleaner and my acne is slowly fading, but it's still early days. I will definitely up date you guys on this and will write another post all about my skin care. I took photos of my skin before I started using these products so that you can all see the before and after. So will keep you all updated! You can purchase Dermalogica products from Melita Pharmacy, I definitely suggest you go there so that one of the staff members can help you out because they might even tell you to use a different brand for example, BioDerma. It is also an extremely good brand for the face, however, Dermalogica is definitely for severe acne. Here is the wash below;

At the event we got this amazing goodie bag full of amazing products, which can all be purchased from Melita if any of you are interested.

We got this extremely cute make up bag from Elizabeth Arden, Shiseido perfect radiance cream and whitening cream, Revlon bronzer, Max Factor mini mascara and excess shimmer in copper, the L'Oreal super liner luminizer, the GLOV make up remover, Sleek lipstick in the colour "Reserved" and their beautiful "i-Divine Del Mar Volume II" palette. Such a beautiful goodie bag full of amazing products! Here is the palette and lipstick separately so that you can see them better;

I really enjoyed myself at this event, was absolutely amazing. If you have any questions regarding the products that I've mentioned, please feel free to leave a comment below. I shall be updating you guys on my skin care routine and hopefully I'll finally have clear skin - fingers crossed. I really hope you all enjoyed this blog post, share this if you did and follow me on Instagram - Suzanne1818.

February Favourites!

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog :)

I've been so busy the past few weeks...I started my Placement on the 15th of February and there is just so much to do, but I'm absolutely loving it! Such a great experience and I'm learning so much. I finally have some time to write a new blog post for you guys and this one is going to be about my February Favourites! I really narrowed this down because this post would have been extremely long....but I have 3 favourite products that I want to share with you guys and I've just been loving them so much.

Here are my 3 February Favourites....

Let's start by talking about the Carli Bybel Palette....

This beautiful palette is an eye shadow and highlighter palette! The colours are so beautiful and pigmented. This palette has been by go to make up palette, I'm in love with it. The colours are perfect, you have some beautiful neutral colours, along with shimmery brown shadows to intensify a make up look, then there's an amazing mauve colour - which is by far my favourite. Not only does this palette have great eye shadows but it also has highlighters, which is perfect for any skin tone. The highlighters are great and I totally recommend this palette. Has perfect colours for a day time look and also for an evening look! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I bought this palette from BHcosmetics.

Next are the Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks....

I'm totally in love with this lipstick - it's called Ecstasy!! Such a beautiful colour and it's so long lasting. I wore this on Saturday night and it literally did not come off. It is a Hydra-Matte liquid lipstick and so it dries on the lips, however if you apply some lip balm before it will be fine. I'm loving liquid lipsticks, they are so easy to apply and I'm just totally in love with this one right here. I bought this from their official site; https://www.gerardcosmetics.com/. If you go on their Instagram page, they tell you about some offers and discounts! Last night I bought another liquid lipstick as they have 40% off....which is just amazing! This is how the lipstick looks....

Lastly ....the other lipstick from Gerard Cosmetics. This is not a liquid lipstick, just a normal matte lipstick and it's called 1995. I also bought this from their site and it's so beautiful. Perfect for during the day and for the evening. I really love Gerard Cosmetic's lipsticks, they are so beautiful and really long lasting, totally worth the price. They are 20 dollars each, however they always have great discounts and so they become totally worth it and there is also free delivery. I bought both lipsticks for only 20 euros, so check out their Instagram page for offers.

So those are my February Favs! I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions please feel free to comment below. Follow me on Instagram; Suzanne1818 and on snapchat; SuzieCutie18. I really hope you all had a great weekend and stay tuned for my next blog post.

Valentine's Day Make Up Look

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog!

Today's blog post is about a Valentines make up look. You all know that Valentine's Day is tomorrow and so I wanted to share with you guys a pretty and simple make up look perfect for the occasion. So if you're interested, keep on reading :)

Of course, this look is not just for those girls that are going on dates but could be used for any occasion really! Even if you're just going out with your friends, this look could totally be for you. So here is the look below;

Of course, I filled in my brows to give them some shape and I used the Smashbox brow definer which is just amazing, I wrote about this in my previous blog so check that out if you haven't seen it yet. For the eyes I used a beautiful gold colour on my lid and pink on the crease. I used the Mermaids Forever Palette from Make Up Revolution. It's such a beautiful palette with loads of really beautiful shades.

Then I wanted to do something slightly different and so I decided to smoke my lower lash line with a purple eye shadow. I really love how it looked, the purple really made the look complete. For my inner highlight I used "Pearl" from Stefania D'Alessandro. I absolutely love this shimmer, it's just so beautiful and your eyes just pop with it! Then do that fierce wing and add a pair of your fav falsies and you're good to go :) I love these false eye lashes, they are just perfect! These are the ones I bought from England, it's also in my previous blog post.

Here are the colours I used for this make up look (marked with a X). The pink shades, that golden colour on the right and that really pigmented purple at the bottom.

You can definitely rock this look with a pink or nude lipstick. If you want to make the look more dramatic then you can just add some black eye shadow in the outer corner to really make that intense smokey look and then a red lip! You can never go wrong with a red lip!!

I really hope that you guys liked this make up look, it's very simple yet eye catching at the same time! Hope that you all have a great Valentine's Day and if you re-created this look please tag me either on Facebook or Instagram - I would love to see them!

My make up purchases from my mini holiday.

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog!!

I haven't posted anything in quite a while and I'm so glad to be writing this new post for you guys :) I've been so busy the past few weeks, it's insane!  I went on holiday for the weekend and I'm also writing my Dissertation which is due in 2 weeks...OMG....help me now....but anyway, I'm going to show you guys what I bought when I was in England.  It was such a well needed holiday as I was so stressed with Uni and everything and it was just a great break.  I met my best friend who lives there and I couldn't have asked for a better holiday.

As you all should know, England has AMAZING shopping malls! I went crazy in all the make up stores and I couldn't control myself.  So many amazing brands that we don't have in Malta and that we have to stay ordering online and getting charged delivery fees...like Urban Decay, Benefit cosmetics, Smashbox, Bobbie Brown etc!  My favourite shop would have to be Urban Decay, so many amazing make up products.

So let's start....I'm going to start with my fav product from the ones I bought which is the Smashbox Brow Tech To Go.

It rolls up and it is shaped at a bit of an angle as you can see above.  It's so perfect to create that sharp, defined brow.  This product is exactly like the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer.  It's absolutely amazing and I'm so happy with this product.  It slides on so easily and you do not have to apply so much pressure.

Next is the Smashbox Contour Sticks!

Love these!!! They are big crayons basically and it came with a sharpener.  The texture is so smooth when applied on the face and it blends so easily.  There is the darker shade for contouring, the medium shade as a bronzer and the lightest one of course for highlighting.  These crayons are so easy to use - absolutely in love.  Also I found it super easy to contour my nose with these because you just "draw" a line where you want to contour and then just grab your beauty blender and blend - so simple.

Next is the Beauty Blender.

Well not much to say about this, but it's the perfect blending tool.  I've been wanting to buy a beauty blender for ages.  My foundation looks 100 times better using the beauty blender and it just blends everything so nicely.  Make sure that it's damp before you use it.  Love the shape of this, the thin part is perfect for under the eye area and blending the nose contour.

My other fav product is the Urban Decay "Heavy Metal" glitter in "Distortion".

I've been wanting these glitters for ages as Nikki Tutorials uses them in her YouTube videos (P.S check her out if you haven't, she's amazing).  I asked the sales assistant for them and initially I wanted the gold glitter but unfortunately they were out of stock, but then she showed me this one and I fell in love.  She applied it over my black winged liner that I had on, so that she can show me how it looks and it just looked amazing.  Here is the photo below.  I felt like I had mermaid eyes and I just loved how it looked so I bought it.  Very happy with this purchase.

And lastly....

A pair of false eye lashes.  As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to buy them.  Love how they look and I can't wait to try them.

So that is all! I really hope that you enjoyed reading this blog, if you have any questions or difficulties, please feel free to leave a comment.  Share this post if you enjoyed reading it and stay in tuned for my next one :)

New Make up Palette Review!

Hey everyone and welcome back!

Today's post is going to be about a new make up palette that I just received from Make Up Revolution.  This is the I Love Make Up "Naked Underneath" - faux fur covered palette.  I received this beautiful palette last week as I had won this mini competition that they were doing in the Christmas holidays.  Basically the competition was to upload a video using the Make Up Revolution products and to tag them in the video.  I did just that!  I felt so happy to win and this palette is absolutely beautiful.  Was quite shocked that I received that as a present, but totally over the moon and would like to thank Make Up Revolution for that!  Definitely check out their site, they have such amazing and affordable make up.  Here is the site below just in case some of you never heard of the site;

OH AND THERE'S A SALE! So you better hurry up ladies :)

So here is the palette! The palette is just so cute with the heart shaped diamond and the faux fur cover.  Absolutely love that about it.  And also, let's just stop and look at those colours.....like woooow!  So so so beautiful!  Beautiful brown shades...light browns, dark....with shimmer and some without...just a perfect go to make up look palette.

Now I'll show you the colours.  They are quite pigmented, however some of the lighter shades aren't that pigmented.  Although, I used those lighter shades as a transition colour and they were perfect.  Basically, you apply the lighter shades on the crease so when you apply the darker shade over, it will be easier to blend that out because of the transition colour.  Little tip for you guys right there!

So let's start....

Those are the first four colours on the palette....I didn't swatch the first colour, that light peach shade because it barely even showed.  As mentioned above, that's a perfect transition colour!

Love these colours!!  Beautiful golden tones...perfect for a smokey eye look!

These are the last few colours on the palette and these are the darker colours on the palette.  They are so pigmented and you can easily create a beautiful smokey eye.  Not only are there brown and black shades, but there is also that gorgeous teal colour above.  You can create so many different looks with this palette, a total must have!  Perfect shades for a make up look for during the day and also for the evening.

And that's it!  Extremely happy with this palette, can't wait to play around with it more and try out different looks.  If you have any questions or difficulties, please feel free to leave a comment below! If you enjoyed reading this post, please share with your friends and follow me on Instagram;

My New Year's Eve make up look!

Hey everyone and happy new year!!

Really hope you all had a fantastic new year's eve full of laughter and joy! Bring on 2016 :)

So, as you all know New Year's Eve is such a big event and everyone goes all out....I went all out with my make up and I will show you guys what products I used and some tips I did.  Here is my look below; a golden, glittery smokey eye!  I definitely wanted some glitter and glam and so I did exactly that.  I was so happy with this look and felt that it was perfect for the occasion!

A little tip before I tell you what products I used...since I knew that I was going to do a gold glittery smokey eye, I first started with my eye make up.  I did this just in case I got fall out and in fact I did!  I had quite a bit of glitter under my eyes and if I had done my foundation, concealer, powder etc, I would have had to remove it because of the extra fall out under my eyes.  When using dark colours (black), glitters....I would suggest you start with your eye make up first just in case, so then you can just grab a make up wipe and easily take off all the fall out!

Another tip; I wanted my eye make up to really last because I knew I was going to spend a lot of hours with my make up on and so I applied primer all over my eyes, then applied concealer and then I set that with powder.  Like that the eye shadows would last even longer.

Products used for the eyes:
Lid: Make up Revolution "Awesome Metals" foil finish in "Rose Gold".
Crease: Catrice Deluxe Trio Eyeshadow 010 "Antique".
Under the brow bone; Stefania D'Alessandro eye shadow "Pearl".
Eyeliner; NYX liquid eyeliner then on the waterline; Catrice ultra black eyeliner.
Mascara; Essence "Multi Action" volume mascara with a pair of false eye lashes which I bought from EBAY.
Eyebrows; Catrice 040 "Don't let me Brow'n" pencil, H&M powder on top then the Brow Drama from Maybelline.

Face;
Primer; Pupa Milano smoothing face primer.
Foundation; L'Oreal Infallible 24H-matte in the shade sand.
Concealer; Maybelline Instant Anti-Age in the shade light.
Powder; Max Factor Translucent Powder.
Contour; Sleek contour kit and the Duo Face Sculpt from Make up Revolution.
Highlight; Pro Illuminate from Make Up Revolution and my favourite Becca Champagne Pop.

I highlighted my nose, cheekbones and cupid's bow!  I really wanted that glow.  And lastly for the lips I just applied a clear gloss - I used Catrice "Glossy Lip Glow".

Really hope you liked this make up look, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask away!

Christmas Make up Look!

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!!!

I've decided to do a make up look which is perfect for the Christmas holidays or for Christmas day.  I did this beautiful golden and red-ish colour for the eyes and a red/orange lip!  Continue reading if you would like to know how I got this look right here and the products I used!

This is not a heavy make up look, it's very subtle but then you have this popping lip colour and of course that fierce wing which I can't live without.  This lipstick is my new liquid lipstick, which is really long lasting and it's from the Amrezy collection and it's called Brooklyn.  I bought this online from this site called LipLand, I have to admit, it is quite expensive but I was dying to buy it because Amrezy is one of my favourite Instagrammers.

Products used for the face:
- Foundation; Maybelline 24hr Super Stay in the colour Sand (30).
- Powder: Max Factor Translucent powder. IMP. to set all your foundation!
- Contour and Highlight; Sleek contour kit with my MAC "Soft and Gentle" highlighter and the Stefania D'Alessandro eye shadow in "Pearl".  Obsessed with this product!!
- Blush; NYX "Intuition".

For my eyebrows;
Catrice 040 "Don't Let me Brow'n" pencil, H&M powder over that and the Maybelline Brow Drama, dark blonde, over everything to set the eye brow hairs in place,

Products used for my eyes;
Eye shadows; my favourite NYX "Love in Paris" palette.  I used the gold shade on my lid (top in the middle), the dark brown on the inner corner of my crease (the one beneath the gold), the orange colour as my base colour for the crease and the red-ish colour shade down below all over the crease.  To highlight my tear duct, I used the same Stefania D'Alessandro eye shadow in "Pearl".

And yes of course I used the NYX Liquid Eye liner for my winged liner.  I absolutely love NYX products, I think they are sooo amazing and affordable!  There are so many extremely expensive make up products and then you can find the exact same product for nearly half the price or more.

Then I lined my waterline with the Catrice 010 Ultra Black eye pencil - which is amazing!  I bought it for around 2 euros and 50 cents I think....and it's just fantastic.  The brow pencil was also around the same price and it's great.  Super happy with these two new purchases.
Moving on to mascara; Essence "Multi-Action" volume mascara and then I applied my Minx False Eye lashes which are also so beautiful!!! I bought them off EBAY for only 2 euros - isn't that crazy right?! And look how beautiful they look.

And that's it right there!!  This gorgeous eye look with a bright lip, perfect for the festive season.  I am really sorry that the picture quality isn't that great of my photos....however, I am hoping that with my new camera which I will be getting on Christmas, I'll manage to capture amazing photos of my make up looks. So stay tuned for those!!

And my next blog post is going to be a New Year's Eve look, totally excited for that one, are you guys excited?

Would truly love to wish all my friends, family and you guys - a very Merry Christmas!  Hope this special day brings lots of love and happiness to you all.  Thank you all for supporting me with my blog, you have no idea how much this means to me.  Love bumping into some of my friends and then they'll be praising me about my blog, means the world to me so THANK YOU!!!

So much love to you all - Suzanne P.D.
